Valley Crossing Community School accepted the grand prize award of $2,000 during a check presentation on May 28.
School principal Dr. Mary Anderson said the prize money will be used to purchase SMART Board interactive whiteboards. This technology combines the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power of a computer to provide interactive and highly visual images and lessons proven to engage students.
Cash for Class is an incentive program through which students, families, friends and educators are all encouraged to shop at Woodbury Lakes and apply their receipts to their favorite participating school. Schools will receive one point for every dollar spent at Woodbury Lakes.
Although each participating school wins a cash award, only the school earning the most points throughout the year will win the grand prize, $2,000.
