Pirates of Penzance at Crosswinds
Students at Crosswinds Arts and Science School will present the final performances of “The Pirates of Penzance” on June 21 and 22 at 7 p.m.
Students at Crosswinds Arts and Science School will present the final two performances of “The Pirates of Penzance” by Gilbert and Sullivan on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for a voluntary donation of $3 for students and seniors and $5 for adults.
“We are very excited about this production,” says director Tinne Rosenmeier. “The cast features outstanding singers. Guest music director Julie Schramke and I decided to edit the original text for length, but leave the score as written because, even though they are young, our singers can certainly handle this wonderful score.” Members of the cast come from all of the 10 member districts of the East Metro Integration District (EMID) #6067 and range in age from 11 to 16. Crosswinds is located at 600 Weir Drive in Woodbury.
