Lion’s Club scholarships awarded
The Woodbury Lion’s Club has announced the winners of this year’s scholarship awards.
The Woodbury Lion’s Club has announced the winners of this year’s scholarship awards. Nine thousand dollars will be given to high school students living in the community to help fund their secondary education.
Jacquelyn Danner, a Woodbury High School graduate, was awarded $2,000. She plans to major in education.
Minna Zhou, a Woodbury High School graduate, was awarded $1,500.
Lisa Clinton, a Woodbury High School graduate, was awarded $1,500. She plans to major in international business.
Allison Baranick, a New Life Academy graduate, was awarded $1,000. She plans to major in accounting.
Sarah Plank, a graduate of Park High School, was awarded $1,000. She has plans to major in education.
Andrew Miller, a graduate of Cretin – Derham Hall, was awarded $1,000. He has plans to major in mechanical engineering.
Emily Adou, a graduate of Woodbury High School, was awarded $1,000. She plans to major in dental hygiene.
Funding for the scholarships comes from community participation in the Lion’s Pancake Breakfast and the Lion’s Garage Sale.
The Woodbury Lion’s Club is a local voluntary service organization, whose primary focus is to support youth and educational programs and to assist people in the community with sight and hearing impairments.
