Kelliher to keynote DFL picnic

Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher is scheduled to present the keynote address at the fourth annual Family Picnic for Senate District 56 Democrats on Tuesday, June 17 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Tartan Park in Lake Elmo.

Ms. Anderson Kelliher will update picnic attendees on the historic 2008 legislative session and will share the podium with DFL-endorsed candidate for U.S. House of Representatives Elwyn Tinklenberg, local state representatives Julie Bunn and Marsha Swails, state senator Kathy Saltzman and other DFL legislators and candidates, including the newly-endorsed DFL candidate for U.S. Senate.

The community is invited to purchase tickets at $10 each (age 5 and under are free) for a full picnic meal and an evening of live music, kids activities and face painting, a silent auction and an evening with DFL friends and colleagues.
