Band versus band

The St. Croix County Fair Board is looking for bands interested in competing in the Battle of the Bands during the 2008 fair. The battle will take place Friday, July 18 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the fair grounds located at 210 Fair Grounds Road, Glenwood City, Wis. Cash prizes of $500, $300 and $100 will be awarded to the top three bands.

Persons from the St. Croix County area that are also involved in the music business will judge the event. To be eligible, a band must be amateur and non-represented.

Enter by sending band name, music type, and the name and phone number of a contact person, to music_mommy@hotmail.com. Contracts and information will be sent out by e-mail. The entrance fee is $20 per band.

All information and entry fees must be received by Saturday, June 14.
