Experience kindergarten summer learning program
Participating District 833 elementary schools are teaming up with the district’s School Readiness program to offer a summer learning opportunity for children who are age-eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2008.
Participating South Washington County School District 833 elementary schools are teaming up with the district’s School Readiness program to offer a summer learning opportunity for children who are age-eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2008. Schools offering the “Kindergarten Here We Come” program include Armstrong, Bailey, Cottage Grove, Crestview, Grey Cloud, Hillside, Liberty Ridge, Middleton, Newport, Pullman, Red Rock, Royal Oaks and Woodbury elementary schools.
The fee for the program is based on a sliding fee scale according to family size and gross annual income.
Classes will be held in a kindergarten classroom at your child’s home school. Children will practice basic skills such as getting along with others, attending in a group, pre-academic skills, bus safety and more. They will become comfortable in the kindergarten classroom and be introduced to a half-day kindergarten routine. The program will take place June 11-26. Classes will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m., three mornings per week for three weeks.
