The MOMS Club Woodbury North has been gathering to collect donations for a care package for the group’s adopted soldier. They meet once a month to send his team a number of items.

Lt. Col. Tim Bellon, 42, a native of Hope, N.D, has recently been deployed to the province of Diyala in Iraq.

His wife, Beth, currently resides in Inver Grove Heights.

Tim Bellon is an 18-year veteran of the U.S. Army, in Special Forces.

He will be among a team of fifteen soldiers, each chosen for their unique set of skills and experiences. They will spend the year coaching, training, and mentoring an area army division and specialty companies in that region.

When Bellon was deployed last month, the local MOMS Club decided to adopt he and his troops for an extra service project, something they did several years ago for another soldier.
