Breast cancer and dragon boats

The Dragon Divas, a dragon boat racing team of breast cancer survivors, is recruiting new members for the 2008 racing season. An informational meeting will be held Monday, April 14, 7 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital, Watson Center, 1655 Beam Avenue, Maplewood.

The group is a mix of “thriving women of all ages: moms, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, homemakers, scientists, educators, business professionals,...” whose mission is “to provide an opportunity for all members of the team to improve their health and fitness, to connect with other survivors and to inspire our community to engage in an active lifestyle regardless of the challenges we face.”
