CITY OF WOODBURY DOCUMENT 00100 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Woodbury, Minnesota, in the City Hall at 8301 Valley Creek Road until 1 P.M., C.D.S.T., on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and all else necessary for the following:

Bielenberg Sports Center Athletic Field Construction

City Project No. 28-2007-03, Project No. 000031-07332-0

The Project consists of the installation of irrigation, drain tile, amended soil mix, and associated work for two renovated soccer fields at Bielenberg Sports Center and seven new soccer fields at a site adjacent to the east side of Bielenberg Sports Center. The Project also includes conversion of an existing softball/baseball field at Bielenberg Sports Center into two smaller youth baseball fields.

Bidders desiring a copy of the Bidding Documents may obtain them from the Issuing Office of Bonestroo, 2335 Highway 36 West, St. Paul, MN 55113, (651) 636-4600, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $75. Bidding Documents may be seen at the office of the City of Woodbury Public Works/Engineering Department and at the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents can also be purchased with a credit card at www.bonestroo.com.

The City of Woodbury has adopted a standard document entitled “Standard Project Manual for Utility and Street Construction,” dated March 1, 2008, which includes the Bidding Requirements, Contracting Requirements, and Specifications, which are hereby incorporated into the Bidding Documents. Bidders are required to purchase a copy of this standard document once per year. A copy must be obtained from the City of Woodbury Engineering Department for the non-refundable fee of $100. If this document has been purchased in 2008 for a previous bid, it does not need to be purchased again.

Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the 3 lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the Owner.
