Summer camp sneak peek at Primrose School
Primrose School of Woodbury will be hosting a free “Summer Camp Sneak Peek” day on Friday, March 21.
Children may attend a 3- hour preview of the summer camp themes at Primrose School of Woodbury.
Space in the Sneak Peek and Camp Primrose is limited, and advanced reservations are required. RSVPs can be made by calling (651) 731-5333.
Each themed session is designed to stretch a child’s imagination, social skills and learning skills by incorporating our Primrose’s “Balanced Learning” program for success.
At Camp Primrose (June 2 to Aug. 29), children will learn skills while spending the summer with friends in a safe, nurturing environment. Camp Primrose is open to school age children (age 5-12) for four, eight or twelve-week sessions.
Children may be enrolled full-time or part-time.
When school is out, the Y is in
On days when children are out of school, the Southeast Area YMCA in Woodbury offers a full-day program with fun indoor and outdoor activities, swimming, arts & crafts, games and snack.
School Release days are available to students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade for March 17 to 20 and March 31 to April 4.
Pre-registration is required.
School release days are open to the community. YMCA Membership is not required for participation. Daily fee is $35 per child per day.

Schopf earns CRS designation
Cheryl Schopf with RE/MAX Results in Woodbury has been awarded the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
Schopf completed advanced courses and demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 38,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the CRS credential.

Smillie named ‘Emmy’ winner
Brian Smillie, a Realtor with Edina Realty’s Woodbury office, was honored with an “Emmy” award on Jan. 29 at Edina Realty’s annual "Expo" event.
Established to honor company founder Emma L. Rovick, the “Emmy” Award is given annually to two people, one employee and one sales associate, who exemplify Edina Realty’s traditions.
Smillie, who works with his wife Jackie and son Steve, has been selling real estate with Edina Realty for 12 years. Focused primarily on the East metro area, Smillie is a member of the Master’s Circle, and ranks by sales volume among the top 100 agents in Edina Realty.
Smillie holds a Graduate Realtors Institute designation and is a Certified Buyer's Agent, an active member of Edina Realty's Exceptional Properties Division and a Certified Relocation Specialist.
Smillie founded a program called Little Church of Hope 17 years ago that joined together with the Christ Recovery Center of the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul to help men in their effort to overcome drug and alcohol addiction.
Every spring and fall, Little Church of Hope welcomes approximately 30 men to a day of food, music, talks, and fellowship with others who have succeeded in overcoming their addictions. Since 1991, over 1,000 men in recovery have participated in the program with 8,000 hours donated by volunteers from St. Croix Valley UMC.
Brian and Jackie Smillie have been married for 40 years and have a daughter, Jennifer, a pilot with EDS in Dallas, and a son, Steve who has been an agent with Edina Realty since 2001.
‘Stuff-N- Fluff Bunny Bash’

The Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop Bunny Bash comes with juice and cookies and a Stuff-N-Fluff bunny workshop, which allow guests to make their very own stuffed bunny by hand-stuffing it, filling it with rainbow wish stars, dressing it in an Easter egg or duckling costume, and then naming it and completing an official Noah’s Ark Birth Certificate.
Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop, founded in 2004, inaugurated the traveling “Stuff-N-Fluff” Workshop, which gives children and parents the opportunity to experience the fun of creating their very own stuffed animal.

SCVHBA adds Lighting by Design
The St. Croix Valley Home Builders Association ( SCVHBA) has announced that Lighting by Design of Woodbury was inducted as a new member in February.
Potential SCVHBA members are only approved and accepted after they have been thoroughly screened, agree to a stringent code of ethics and agree to adhere to all state codes and regulations set forth by the Department of Commerce.
A lighting fixture retailer and distributor, Lighting by Design is located at 9470 Hudson Road, Woodbury.
