Students were given food for thought on the topic of African American history last week (Feb. 8-15).
A 48-foot photographic display was on show in Woodbury High School for the week to educate students on the history of the Civil Rights Movement.
The exhibition was staged by the non-profit organization Conceive, Believe, Achieve.
Spokesman Dennis Behling said: “With our displays we are trying to touch the hearts of the children in order to plant the just seeds of compassion and understanding and to give them the opportunity to learn from these unsung role models about diversity.”
