One of four remaining lawsuits facing the City of Afton will be resolved Friday, Feb. 15.
A hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. in the Washington District Court in Stillwater will see a summary judgment issued in the case of GJM vs. the City of Afton.
Speaking before the hearing, James Monge, senior land use attorney for the League of Minnesota Cities, said, “The plaintiffs allege that the city improperly rejected a conditional use permit application. They have a number of allegations related to the rejection of the CUP application as the application was incomplete.”
The lawsuit is just one in a string of seven that were filed against Afton last year. Some also named city administrator Shelly Strauss and planning commission chairperson Jim Fox as co-defendants.
