Help shape new school’s future

Want to design a new school mascot or write a new school song?

If the answer is yes, head to Lake Junior High School on Pioneer Drive on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. to start building the community of East Ridge High School.

The East Ridge planning team is holding four meetings throughout February and March to come up with the school’s mascot, colors, song and academic insignia, and anyone who wants to help shape the future of the school is invited to join.

Further meetings will be held on Feb. 26, March 11 and 18.

East Ridge High School is under construction in Pioneer Drive, near the intersection of Bailey Road and Radio Drive, and is scheduled to open in fall 2009.
