Klobuchar to speak at East Ridge commencement

East Ridge High School's first senior class will hear from Minnesota's senior U.S. senator.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar is scheduled to speak at East Ridge's commencement ceremony Saturday, school officials announced late Friday.

East Ridge is in its second year, but this is the school's first graduating class.

The commencement ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in the school gymnasium at 4200 Pioneer Drive.

Klobuchar, a Democrat, is in her fifth year in the Senate. She is up for re-election next year.
