The East Ridge girls basketball team’s non-conference success was dealt a blow on Tuesday, Dec. 21, as the Raptors fell 66-48 at Chanhassen.
It was only the second loss out of five non-conference games this season for the second-year Raptors.
In the game, Chanhassen (4-2) led the Raptors 33-21 in the first half, then outpaced the East Ridge 33-27 in the second half to hold on to the win.
Sophomore forward Briana Walker led the way for East Ridge (4-5) in the loss with a team-high 14 points. Additionally, junior forward Katherine Hagberg scored 10 points and sophomore guard Hannah Pignato added seven points. Becca Smith had a game-high 20 points for the Storm.
East Ridge next hits the court on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at intra-district rival Park.
