Woodbury Minnesota 8420 City Centre Drive 55125

A tense situation Friday on York Drive ended peacefully, according to police.

Woodbury police Cmdr. John Altman said a man was taken into custody Friday afternoon following a report of a person with a knife threatening to assault someone.

Police, who were seen moving tacticly through the neighborhood, evacuated neighboring homes.

The suspect, hands held high, exited a York Drive multi-unit complex upon request, Altman said, noting that no one was injured during the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
