Year in Review 2011: Norsten becomes Woodbury's first state swim champ since 1999
In 2011, Woodbury's Gregory Norsten became a state champion.
As a junior, Norsten won the Class AA state championship in the 200 IM with a time of 1:51.87, breaking the Woodbury High School record and becoming the Royals' first state swim champ since 1999.
"I just kept thinking I don't want to lose this one," Norsten said after winning the title. "I've been wanting this for two years now. All I have to say is I'm happy about it."
