Woodbury ski jumpers win titles for St. Paul Ski Club

Woodbury's Trevor Edlund, Elizabeth Wallace and Brian Wallace helped the St. Paul Ski Club shine at this year's Junior National Championships.

Elizabeth Wallace, Brian Wallace and Edlund each earned gold medals in the team competition at the 2013 Junior National Championships for ski jumping held in Bloomington from Feb. 26 to March 2.

Held at the Bush Lake Ski Jump, the final ski jumping event of the Junior Nationals was the team competition on Saturday morning.

Elizabeth Wallace, a junior at Woodbury High School, teamed with Sabina Gasienica to take the top spot on the podium in the J2 (16-and-under) Women's category. Edlund, a sophomore at Woodbury High School, was one of four members of the J2 Men's championship team. Brian Wallace, a 2012 Woodbury High School graduate, and Tyler Hutchins teamed up to win the J1 (17-19 years old) division championship crown.

In the individual jumping competition, Elizabeth and Brian Wallace each earned second place in their respective competitions, taking home silver medals and Edlund placed fourth in his division.
