Woodbury man, 28, dies after crash on 494
A Woodbury man died after his SUV lost control and overturned on Interstate 494 in Dakota County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the 2000 Ford Explorer Colin K. Geraghty, 28, lost control at 6:57 a.m. Saturday, April 13, on the icy road-top while driving westbound on 494, slipped off the right side of the road and rolled.
Geraghty was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he later died, according to a spokeswoman. The Regions spokeswoman did not say when Geraghty died.
State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske said Geraghty was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
According to the State Patrol, Geraghty was not wearing a seat belt. There was no sign of alcohol, according to the State Patrol report.
