Woodbury cheer squad third at State

The Woodbury High School competitive cheerleading squad placed third in the Division I Large/Super Large classification at the Minnesota Cheerleading Coaches Association State Meet, held on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.

The Woodbury High School varsity competitive cheerleading team took third place in the Division I Large/Super Large classification at the Minnesota Cheerleading Coaches Association State Meet, held on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.

Woodbury claimed 202 points in all, behind just Edina (232 points) and Bloomington Jefferson (225) in the "big school" division standings.

The Royals junior varsity competitive cheer team placed fifth in their State competition that ran concurrently at Roy Wilkins.

Woodbury's J.V. tallied 170 points in all at its meet, with the Hornets again taking the top spot with 222 points.
