A St. Paul woman was arrested Aug. 10 after leading Woodbury police on a chase that exceeded 120 mph.

According to a Woodbury police report, an officer had cited and released a woman at about 5 p.m. for driving after revocation, no proof of insurance and no insurance outside Walmart on Hudson Road. The officer told the woman to leave the car there until a valid driver could drive it away.

Shortly after, the officer saw the woman drive past on Woodbury Drive in the same vehicle.

The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Interstate 94 on-ramp. The driver slowed down on the shoulder, then sped off, reaching speeds of more than 120 mph, the report states.

The chase was terminated due to “extreme speeds and safety concerns,” according to the report.

Police caught up with the woman at her St. Paul home and arrested her on suspicion of fleeing police and taken to jail in Stillwater.

According to the report, the woman admitted to intentionally fleeing in the vehicle.
