Wisconsin woman allegedly shoplifts, shoves down security guard at Woodbury store
Woodbury Minnesota 8420 City Centre Drive 55125

Police cited a River Falls, Wis., woman for theft Sept. 13 after an incident at the Woodbury Walmart, where the suspect allegedly pushed a security guard to the ground.

Officers were called to the store for a theft in progress involving a female wearing a black-and-white zebra-print dress who was seen leaving the store with unpaid merchandise. Walmart loss prevention workers followed the woman to the parking lot, where the suspect turned over several clothing items. The security worker suspected the woman hadn't turned over everything, but the woman attempted to leave.

During the incident, the suspect pushed the female loss-prevention worker to the ground before driving off.

Cottage Grove police located the woman's vehicle on Interstate 94 and alerted Woodbury police. An officer identified the suspect as a passenger in the car. During an interview with police, the woman admitted to the theft - which included chocolates, a dress, makeup and personal items - and told police "she was short on money," the report states. The woman also admitted to a physical confrontation with the Walmart worker.

The suspect, who was on probation in St. Croix County for fraud, was cited for theft and fifth-degree assault.
