Washington County parks present campfire program July 4

Storyteller Dwight Wilcox will present a campfire program at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at Lake Elmo Park Reserve.

Wilcox entertains listeners by using different props, gestures and voices. His stories are suitable for all ages.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve is at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 10 (one mile north of Interstate 94) in Lake Elmo. The program will be in the campground amphitheater.

It is a free program with a $5 vehicle fee.

"Remarkable Reptiles" will present reptiles at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park. This education program deals with the five groups of reptiles living today.

Live reptiles, along with artifacts are used in the program. At the end of the presentation, participants will get a chance to "meet" a boa constrictor. Included in this program will be a live timber rattle snake and a Blanding's turtle.

St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park is on the St. Croix River on County Road 21, between County Road 76 and County Road 78, in Denmark Township. The program will be in the campground amphitheater.

It is a free program with a $5 vehicle fee.
