Washington County Clean water projects on display
Area water groundwater management and Cottage Grove officials are scheduled
to host an open house next week where they'll show off projects aimed at
keeping area water clean.
Representatives from the South Washington Watershed District and the city of Cottage Grove will co-host the open house April 26 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Washington County Environment Center, located at 4039 Cottage Grove Dr. in Woodbury.
There, residents can get information and give feedback on clean water
projects and pollution prevention programs from around the county, and can
get information on grants and financial assistance for backyard clean water
projects like rain gardens.
Visitors can also pre-order rain barrels for $68, and bare-root trees and
shrubs (25 for $32.50). Orders can be picked up at the Washington County
Fairgrounds in Lake Elmo on April 29, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and April 30,
from 8 a.m. to Noon.
Order forms are also available on the Washington Conservation District
Website at mnwcd.org.
