UPDATE: Woodbury man killed in motorcycle crash

Woodbury police confirmed Tuesday that the motorcyclist involved in a crash on Sunday has died.

The driver, Scott Krein Oakland, of Woodbury, was transported from Valley Creek Road and Woodlane Drive to Regions Hospital, where he later died, according to a police report.

According to witness accounts, Oakland, 49, was southbound on Woodlane Drive when he failed to stop for a red light, striking the side of a minivan. The report states Oakland was not wearing a helmet during the crash, which occurred at 5:04 p.m. Sunday, May 25.

The driver of the minivan was a juvenile female operating with a learner’s permit; her mother was a passenger in the vehicle.
