Two homes damaged in separate lightning strikes

A lightning strike and subsequent house fire left a Woodbury family unharmed but displaced last week.

On Tuesday, July 22, Woodbury police and fire responded to a house fire on the 3100 block of Edgewater View. The residents, who reported the incident to the Woodbury Public Safety Department shortly before 5 p.m., left the home safely and stayed in a local hotel the night of the fire.
