Two counseling services share one office
Valentine Counseling Services and KB Counseling Evaluation Mediation Services have joined to create a new counseling office in Woodbury, located at 6043 Hudson Road, Suite 355.
The respective firms offer individual, couple and group counseling. They have expertise in premarital counseling/marriage enrichment, chemical use assessments and divorce/separation mediation.
A sliding fee scale based on income and ability is also available.
Currently featured are a women's empowerment support group and an adolescents of divorced parents support group.
Traci Valentine's area of focus is on individual, parent/adolescent, life stage transitions, stress management and relational issues. She has a master's degree from Argosy University-TC, where her area of study was in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. She also holds a M.Ed. degree from Saint Mary's University. She is certified in Chemical Use Assessment Rule 25 criteria and "PREPARE/ENRICH." She specializes in health realization and emphasizes that when a client is living in a secure state of mind they will be able to locate solutions to any problem encountered.
Kristi Bushinski focuses on marital and parental concerns, life stage transitions and relational conflicts. She holds a bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University in Psychology, and a master's degree from Argosy University-TC, where her area of study was in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Additional areas of experience in which Kristi has certifications are PREPARE/ENRICH inventories for premarital and married couples, Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 offering mediation services in the area of divorce and family matters, and Chemical Use Assessor consistent with Rule 25 criteria.
Topics covered by the women's empowerment support group include life changes, letting go of the past, living in the moment, how thinking affects how we live our lives, career changes and health issues. It consists of six weeks of one-hour sessions, with a minimum four members and maximum of eight.

Adolescents of divorced parents support group topics will be differences and similarities of each member's experience, beliefs about marriage, healthy relationships, feelings and attitudes about divorce. It is comprised of six weeks of 75-minute sessions. Participants must be between 12- and 18-years-old, with a minimum four members to a maximum of 10.
