Thone, Tommies roll in National opener
The University of St. Thomas club lacrosse team, seeded first in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) National Tournament, easily won its opening-round game in a 22-3 blow out of No. 16 Sam Houston State on Tuesday in Denver.
Woodbury alumnus Tom Thone is the starting goaltender for the Tommies, who came into the tournament as the defending National champions from last season.
The Tommies face No. 9 seed Grove City on Wednesday afternoon.
