Svetlik attends BestPrep workshop
Victoria Svetlik, a teacher from Woodbury's Lake Junior High School, recently took part in BestPrep's Technology Integration Workshop.
Designed to aid teachers in the incorporation of technology into their classrooms, the Technology Integration Workshop has been a BestPrep prgogram since 2004.
Held at Wayzata High School July 28 - 31, the workshop hosted 36 educators, representing 25 schools.
Over the course of the week, participating teachers heard topics focusing on technology and workplace skills. They took part in small group breakout sessions that focused on their individual technological needs, such as digital cameras and online educational tools.
They also spent time with specialists who helped them develop technology-infused lesson plans.
"With the rapid, day-to-day advancement of technology, teachers need to continually educate themselves on what's new, in order to remain ahead of the curve," said Bonnie Vagasky, vice president of educational programs for BestPrep.
