Support for parents of children with disabilities
Arc Greater Twin Cities invites Washington county parents of children with intellectual or developmental disabilities to "Coffee & Conversation" the third Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Borders, 8472 Tamarack Bay, Woodbury. Upcoming meeting dates include, Jan. 15, Feb. 19, Mar. 26 (held on the fourth Thursday), Apr. 16, May 21 and June 18. There is no cost to attend and coffee will be provided.
According to information provided by Arc, the new networking group "will provide an opportunity for parents of children with disabilities to connect, share and learn from one another," in an "informal, supportive atmosphere."
Arc also offers the focus-specific networking group "Parents of Children with Autism" the second Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Family Achievement Center, 8320 City Centre Drive, Suite G, Woodbury. There is no charge to attend. The next meeting will be held Jan. 13.
