The following information has been received from university or family sources.

• Brittany Kron, a 2006 graduate of Woodbury High School, made the Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Ga. where she is working toward a B.F.A. in graphic design. She also holds a position as the Lifestyle editor of the school's student quarterly magazine, SCAN, as well as the online newspaper The Connector. Kron won a "Student Leadership Award" for working on both publications.

• Ryan Caulfield of Woodbury has been named to the Dean's List in the College of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, Ind. for outstanding scholarship during the spring 2009 semester. Students who achieve dean's honors at the university represent the top 30 percent of students in their college. Ryan is a 2006 graduate of Woodbury High School. He is the son of Bruce and Kris Caulfield of Woodbury.

• The following students from Woodbury have been awarded non-resident scholarships to attend the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 2009-10.

Lynsey Debra Gilbertson was awarded the Aaron Douglas Scholarship.

Chelsey Lynne Rosemann was awarded the Midwest Student Exchange Scholarship.

The scholarships are awarded to identify and reward the most talented students from states other than Nebraska who choose to attend the university.

• Alyssa Marie Schoenberg of Woodbury was named to the Dean's List at Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C. for having achieved a 3.5 grade point average or above for the spring semester.

• Elizabeth Yares from Woodbury was named to the Dean's List for the 2009 spring semester at Augustana College, Sioux Falls, S.D. Full-time students with grade point averages of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the list.

• The following Afton and Woodbury residents were named to the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth spring semester 2009 Dean's List: Madeline Lodge, a senior majoring in biology; Joshua Hawkins, a junior finance major; and Chelsea Henry, a senior majoring in social work. Students named to the list have attained a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

• Alesha Jo Miller of Woodbury graduated in the class of 2009 at Ridgewater College, Willmar.

• Rachael Lilly of Woodbury received a bachelor of science degree in animal sciences within the college of Agriculture & Life Sciences at the University of Vermont, Burlington.

• The following students from Woodbury completed academic requirements for degrees following spring semester 2009 at Winona State University: Amanda Brillhart, bachelor of science; Peter Crubaugh, bachelor of science; Shannon Dunkin, bachelor of science; Kristen Erickson, bachelor of science; Laura Faschingbauer, bachelor of arts degree (Spanish, mass); Richard Fons, bachelor of science; Madeline Gebhard, bachelor of social work; Steven Lang, bachelor of arts; Kaycee Moore, bachelor of science-teaching cum laude; Sean Murphy, bachelor of science-teaching; Melissa Spangler, bachelor of arts summa cum laude; Jared Stene, bachelor of arts (public, politcal); Anthony Taylor, bachelor of science; Ashley Wolf, bachelor of science-teaching cum laude.

• The following students from Woodbury were named to the Winona State University Dean's List following spring semester 2009: Barrett Ahle, Jessica Berger, Kerry Daly, Sara Durden, Kristen Erickson, Laura Faschingbauer, Maximilian Hintz, Kaitlin Hughes, Ashley Kasprzyk, Melissa Kosel, Brennan Lacher, Mckenzie Larson, Leigh Moore, Mary Catherine Ramos, Nathan Reimnitz, Alicia Savino, Patrick Setley, Melissa Spangler, Joshua Taylor, and Michelle Welch.

• Jacquelyn Danner, Hannah Hilton, and Kate Novotny, all of Woodbury, have been named to the University of Minnesota, Morris Dean's List for spring semester 2009. To be eligible for the list a student must have earned a semester grade point average of 3.67 or higher.

• Krista Bauer of Newport has been named to the Dean's List at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls for the 2009 spring semester. To earn this distinction a student must have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average. Bauer is the president of the Tri Sigma sorority and is majoring in business administration with a finance emphasis. She will study International business in London this summer.

• Matt Murphy, son of Greg and Cathy Murphy of Woodbury, was named to the second semester, 2008-09 Dean's List at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, Winona, for having earned a grade point average of 3.60 or better on a 4.0 scale.

• Stephanie Miller, daughter of Susan and Mike Miller of Woodbury, was named to the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, spring semester 2009 Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement. Students named to the list have earned a 3.66 grade point average or higher for the semester. Miller earned the honor as a sophomore in the school where she is a finance and Spanish major. She is a 2008 graduate of Woodbury High School.

• Sarah Elizabeth White, daughter of Sue and Mike White of Woodbury, was named to the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, spring semester 2009 Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement. Students named to the list have earned a 3.66 grade point average or higher for the semester. White earned the honor as a junior in the school where she is an accounting major. She is a 2006 graduate of Woodbury High School.

• Elizabeth Anne Sanders of Woodbury graduated from Gettysburg College, Gettys-burg, Pa. with a bachelor's degree on May 17. Sanders majored in philosophy.

• Sarah Gail Petrich of Woodbury was named to the spring semester 2008-09 Dean's List at Anderson University, Anderson, Ind. for having earned a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale.

• Lucia Vitale is taking part in the Concordia Language Villages program by attending Lago del Bosco, the Italian Language Village located in Fosston, Minn. She is the daughter of Jenny and Steve Vitale of Woodbury. Vitale received the Global Citizen Scholarship sponsored by the National Italian American Foundation.

• North Dakota State University, Fargo has announced the names of students earning Dean's List honors for spring 2009.

Local students included Laura Bicking, Morgan C. DeMike, Elizabeth A. Dentinger, Cara L. Docken, Kelsey A. Kolars, Kevin D. Mackey and Jeanna M. Sommers. A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher to qualify.

• Justin Lee Nelson of Woodbury graduated with a master of architecture degree from North Dakota State University, Fargo following the spring 2009 term.

• Kendall Baur, Alyssa Davidson, and Benjamin Sheppard of Woodbury were among the Harding University, Searcy, Ark. students included on the Dean's List for grades achieved during the spring semester. To be eligible for the honor a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.65 or higher for the semester.

• Andrea Morehouse of Woodbury, a Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. student majoring in political science, was recently named to the university's Dean's List for the 2009 spring semester. To achieve dean's list distinction, students must have a quality point average of 3.25 or greater out of a possible 4.0.

• Ralph Schulte of Woodbury has been named to the Dean's List at Fontbonne University, St. Louis, Mo. He earned a grade point average of 3.7 or higher upon completion of the spring 2009 semester.

• Michelle Hause Johnson (Lake Elmo); Kerri Lynn Nelson (Newport); and Woodbury residents Erin Rae Amend; Allison M. Drtina; Brett Joseph Hauser; Daniel Peter Kassan; Olivia N. Kilgore; Brianna Dawn Lockie; Jordan Carter Lunde; Thomas James McGinley; Eric Steven Meisel; Amanda Jane Nisleit; Elizabeth M. Passman; Rachel Lee Steingas; Michael Steven Svendsen; Katherine B. Westfall; and Christopher T. Wolf were named to the 2009 spring semester Dean's List at Iowa State University, Ames for outstanding academic achievement. Students named to the list must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale.
