Woodbury Days takes place this weekend, August 23 — 26, beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday and concluding on Monday with a 7 p.m. coronation of Little Miss Woodbury and Miss Woodbury. And this year's weekend celebration promises to have something for everyone.
Begin by checking the website at woodburydays.com and you'll find a schedule of events that begins with a Taste of Woodbury and Carnival Rides from 4-10 p.m. at Ojibway Park on Friday, located east of Woodbury High School. An unlimited pass for the rides will be available for attendees from 6-10 p.m., so be sure to check out this great value when you arrive.
Also located at Ojibway Park will be the Taste of Woodbury, which will offer a selection from the wonderful restaurants we have here in our city, so come hungry and ready to peruse the many booths that will boast their wares. As you do, make a note of those you will visit in the next few months.
As you check the website, you learn more about the petting zoo, the robotics demonstration, as well as bingo and the stuffed animal workshop, and this is all on Friday night!
Saturday will offer the 15th-annual bike ride, a car show and sand volleyball. The petting zoo, as well as a coin hunt, will be available for children. The car show and carnival rides will continue throughout Saturday, in addition to Rev up for Disney and a performance by the Woodbury Dance Studio. You will also find face painting and balloon art, as well as the Dweebs, who will perform at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
On Sunday, Aug. 25, be sure to locate the parade route, bring your lawn chair and find a spot along the course to enjoy the Woodbury Days Parade, complete with over 100 units. And then on Monday, Aug. 26, you can take in the Miss Woodbury and Little Miss Woodbury pageant at King of Kings Lutheran Church.
Whether you have been a resident of Woodbury all your life, if you moved here within the past few years, or you're a newcomer, Woodbury Days provides an opportunity for you to get out and see people you've missed this summer.
