Saint Ambrose students win big at science fair
Saint Ambrose of Woodbury eighth grade students Tom D'Agostino, Robbie Mouton, Anna Lee and Katie Rusin each earned first place for their science fair projects at the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair at the University of Minnesota on Feb. 27-28.
Their winning projects were "Popsicle Bridges," Lee; "Thermal Conductivity: Copper vs. Polypropylene," D'Agostino; "Do Goldfish Have Memories," Rusin; and "Synthetic vs. Human Insulin," Mouton. Sponsorship Award winners included: D'Agostino, the PBS Dragonfly TV series "Science Award for Excellence in Scientific Communication"; Mouton, the "East Side Science Award Medal"; and Rusin, the "American Fisheries Society Aquatic Science Achievement Award."
D'Agostino, Rusin and Mouton will head to state competition March 29-31 in St. Paul.
