Royals, Raptors boys triumphant on hardcourt

Both the Woodbury and East Ridge boys basketball teams earned victories on Tuesday night, with the Royals gaining their second win of the year at Edina while the Raptors had no trouble with Minneapolis Edison at home.

Woodbury overcame a 30-29 halftime deficit to defeat the Hornets, 65-59, behind 21 points from Nick Quicksell and 16 from Joe Rizzardi. The Royals improved to 2-3 on the season with the victory as they now prepare to host Park on Friday night.

East Ridge put a game into running time for the first occasion in team history as the Raptors rolled over the Tommies, 72-42. Individual statistics were not available. ERHS, which improved to 3-1 in the rout, hosts Mounds View on Friday.
