Rev it up at Woodbury Days band shell
Woodbury Minnesota 8420 City Centre Drive 55125

Even though the evening entertainment might be the primary draw to the Woodbury Lakes Stage during Woodbury Days, there will still be plenty to see and do at the band shell during the day.

A new event this year will be “Rev Up for Disney,” on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Rev up for Disney,  which is being sponsored by Peace of Mind Daycare/Footprints Academy  and Woodbury Dance Center, will act as a sort of an opening act for the Radio Disney Road Crew, which will hit the stage at 12:30 p.m.

“We want to get kids there early and excited about the event,” said Kathy Mueller, of Woodbury Dance Center.

Rev up for Disney will offer a number of fun things for children including crazy hair, games, prizes, giveaways, dancing and music.

Additionally, Woodbury Dance Center dancers will perform for audiences at 11:30 a.m.

Mueller said the dancers will be performing a little bit of everything – jazz, tap and even some pom pom.

“It’s just about having our students as well as other kids have something fun to do,” she said.

Mueller said she and Nikki Robbins, of Peace of Mind Daycare/Footprints Academy, wanted to host the Rev Up for Disney event this year because it allowed the two businesses to be involved in Woodbury Days outside of the Business Fair.

“It’s a fun change to do an event like that,” Mueller said. “We’re excited about being out in a different area at Woodbury Days.

“The kids in Woodbury just love going to Woodbury Days at the end of the summer.

Other entertainment at the Woodbury Lakes Stage include:

* Ultimate Martial Arts: Friday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 4:45-5:45 p.m.

* Woodbury Public Safety demonstration: Saturday from 6-6:45 p.m.
