According to a criminal complaint, police were called July 25 to a Waters Path residence, where a woman said her pain medication was missing. The woman said the repairman told her he had cut his finger and asked for band-aids. She handed him a box with various medicinal items and later spotted the man with pills in his hand that he tried to hide. The complaint states that the man later excused himself to the bathroom, where the woman heard water running and the sound of a pill bottle rattling.

After the repairman left, the woman discovered the pills missing.

Police located the suspect, Jay Corey Levine, 57, who said “he had been expecting the officers’ call,” according to the complaint. He later admitted to taking the woman’s pills.
