Prairie hike at Lake Elmo Park Reserve
See the prairie in bloom while on a prairie hike at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve on Aug. 5 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
After reading a short passage from Aldo Leopold's Sand County Almanac, hikers will make a large loop around Eagle Point Lake, stopping along the way to see the restored prairie and scenic views and to learn about the Valley Branch Watershed District's efforts to protect water quality in the area.
To join this hike, RSVP Angie Hong at (952) 261-9599 or e-mail email@example.com.
Meet at the trailhead parking lot (on the left just after the entrance). Bring hiking shoes and bug spray. Parking at county parks is free the first Tuesday of the month. Dogs are allowed on leash.
This outing is sponsored by Washington County Parks, Sierra Club and the East Metro Water Resource Education Program.
