Police: Woodbury woman who crashed car was impaired, texting

A woman who had been drinking admitted to police she crashed her car in a Cottage Grove ditch while texting on her cellphone.

A police officer on patrol shortly before 1 a.m. Aug. 25 found a vehicle in a ditch on Innovation Road at 100th Street, near the 3M-Cottage Grove entrance. As the officer arrived on scene, 3M security was calling 911 to report the crash and that the driver was trying to drive out of the ditch.
