A Wild Canyon Trail resident reported Aug. 14 that her wicker table was stolen while she was out of town. Matching chairs were left behind. No suspects. Loss: $150.

A Woodbury woman reported Aug. 14 that she spotted two males hauling a television in a wheelbarrow into some nearby woods. A sledgehammer was also seen. When police arrived, the woman pointed to a playground behind her home and said that a large group of bicycles followed the suspects with the wheelbarrow. The officer entered the woods and found an abandoned wheelbarrow. Further along the trail, the officer found a smashed television in a clearing. Several children were in the woods and described the suspects. The suspects, who told the children they were 10th graders from Eagan, reportedly ran toward the Ojibway Park soccer fields.

A Grand Forest Lane resident reported Aug. 14 that a group of males came to her door and rang the doorbell. When the resident answered, the males “looked surprised” and took off running. The woman suspected the males had been casing the area.

A Leyland Trail woman reported Aug. 14 that someone cut off several branches from a tree in her front yard. The woman didn’t suspect her neighbors, noting that the tree was not on a property line. The woman “wanted the actions of an unknown rogue tree trimmer documented,” the report states.

Police on patrol Aug. 14 near East Ridge High School, 4200 Pioneer Drive, heard suspicious noises coming from the school’s football field. The officer approached the field, where he first saw a parked Chevrolet Tahoe and then more sounds from inside the stadium. Another officer arrived and eventually three people crawled out of the stadium through a small opening . The juveniles, all seniors from Woodbury High School who were cooperative and polite, said they were “just driving around … and were bored.” The suspects said the noises heard were from them throwing rocks at the bleachers. The students’ parents were called and apprised of the events.

A resident in the 3200 block of York Alcove reported Aug. 16 that his wallet was stolen from his vehicle parked inside his garage. Loss: $100.

A resident in the 2600 block of Wimbledon Drive reported that groups of juveniles gather “at all hours of the day” on ballfields at nearby Pioneer Park. The juveniles swear and threaten to hurt her children. Hand-to-hand transactions were also reported.

An officer stopped a vehicle Aug. 20 at Schooner Way and Clippership Drive. The officer detected the smell of marijuana during the stop. The suspect, a Woodbury male juvenile attending East Ridge High School, admitted to smoking the pot. Police confiscated a marijuana pipe, chewing tobacco, an e-cigarette, nicotine and a marijuana grinder. The juvenile was joined by a male juvenile attending Woodbury High School. Both were given verbal warnings.
