A woman reported April 23 that her gym bag was stolen from her unlocked vehicle at National Karate on Tamarack Road. The bag contained medication, workout gear ($100) and tennis shoes ($100).
An Edgewater Drive resident reported April 23 that a juvenile male was skateboarding through the neighborhood while smoking a cigarette. Police were unable to locate the male.
A female complainant reported April 23 that she was assaulted in the YMCA parking lot, 2175 Radio Drive. The complainant said another woman pulled her hair, punched her in the face and kicked her in the stomach. The complainant said the assault was in relation to her boyfriend. The complainant was transported by ambulance to Woodwinds Health Campus for her injuries. The suspect was mailed a citation for assault.
Police were called April 25 to YMCA, 2175 Radio Drive, for a disturbance. A juvenile male was standing near the front door, swearing at staff and giving them “the finger.” The disturbance arose after he was told he could not date a 16-year-old.
Police located trash, beer cans and a smoldering fire near a creek at Carver Lake Park. Officers suspected juveniles were responsible for the mess.
A Kentwood Lane resident reported April 25 that his house was just egged, making it the third time in the past three hours. Juvenile mischief was suspected.
Police were called April 27 to Wild Bill’s, 546 Commons Drive, for a disturbance involving an unwanted man. The man, a St. Paul resident, was jettisoned from the bar because of his drunkenness. He then created a disturbance in the parking lot with staff, who restrained him until police arrived. Police determined the man had a 0.18 blood-alcohol content and transported him to a detox facility after determining he was unable to care for himself.
A manager at BP gas station, 1569 Woodlane Drive, reported that two employees were fired and were creating a disturbance. The fired workers were swearing and refusing to leave, but departed before police arrived. Police mailed them trespass notices.
Officers responded April 28 to the area of King of Kings Lutheran Church for a road rage report. The complainant said the other motorist, a Woodbury man, got out of his vehicle and slammed the complainant’s car door on his leg. The Woodbury man then punched the complainant in the mouth. The Woodbury man, who left the scene, was later cited for fifth-degree assault.
Police were called for a theft report on April 27 at Walmart, 10240 Hudson Road. A shopper was seen stealing a cellphone case. When he was apprehended outside by police, the man, a Folsom, Calif., resident, told officers he was in possession of syringes and heroin. A scale was also located. The man was jailed in Stillwater on suspicion of fifth-degree drug possession, theft and property damage.
