A Woodbury woman reported Nov. 21 that a loose dog attacked her two dogs while she was on a walk near Lake Road and Copper Oaks Trail. She said the offending dog bit one of her two huskies, but did not leave a mark. Police contacted the owner of the dog believed involved in the attack. He denied his dog was involved. After being told of the interview results, the woman became frustrated and told an officer that she would carry a gun and pepper spray on future walks, and that she would use either device in the event of another dog attack. The officer recommended she avoid taking such action.

A Woodbury woman reported Nov. 22 that her Sherwood Road home had been burglarized. The woman’s son discovered the burglary, which did not involve forced entry. Video game consoles were missing.

Police were called Nov. 23 to Walmart, 10240 Hudson Road, for a shoplifting report. A man and woman suspected of shoplifting were seen fleeing the store on foot. Both were apprehended and admitted to stealing merchandise. The man, a Stacy, Minn., resident, was cited for theft and released. The woman, who listed no permanent address, was jailed after officers found her in possession of methadone in hypodermic needles and a spoon with heroin residue. She was arrested on suspicion of fifth-degree drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.

A Collingwood Lane resident looking to rent a room on Craigslist.com reported an attempted scam on Nov. 23. She said a woman responded to her Craigslist post and sent two checks totaling about $7,000. The would-be renter requested the Woodbury woman to take the money and to send some back to her. The Woodbury woman notified the suspect that the room had been rented and destroyed the suspicious checks.
