Postal Credit Union (PCU) will hold its annual Shred-N-Go Identity Theft Prevention event on Saturday, May 2 at the Woodbury office, 8499 Tamarack Road.
This free event is intended to help prevent identity theft by shredding people's personal documents in a safe and secure manner. PCU members and the community are invited to take part.
Shred-N-Go, PCU's document destruction service provider, will volunteer their time and trucks for the event. Patrons can drop off their documents between 9:00 a.m. and 12 Noon, and watch them get immediately shredded in a Shred-N-Go truck.
"The goal of this event is to provide the community with a free and safe way to dispose of their unneeded personal records," PCU Woodbury branch manager Liz Fleischhacker said. "It also helps raise awareness about identity theft and how to prevent it."
