This free event is intended to help prevent identity theft by shredding people's personal documents in a safe and secure manner. PCU members and the community are invited to take part.

Shred-N-Go, PCU's document destruction service provider, will volunteer their time and trucks for the event. Patrons can drop off their documents between 9:00 a.m. and 12 Noon, and watch them get immediately shredded in a Shred-N-Go truck.

"The goal of this event is to provide the community with a free and safe way to dispose of their unneeded personal records," PCU Woodbury branch manager Liz Fleischhacker said. "It also helps raise awareness about identity theft and how to prevent it."

Founded in 1926, PCU is a full-service financial cooperative offering a complete range of services, including 24/7 loan approval, mortgages, online banking, online deposits, checking, business services, investment services and more.
