This free event is intended to help prevent identity theft by shredding people's personal documents in a safe and secure manner. PCU members and the community are invited to take part.

Shred-N-Go, PCU's document destruction service provider, will volunteer its time and trucks for the event. Patrons can drop off their documents between 9 a.m. and noon and watch them get immediately shredded in a Shred-N-Go truck.

"The goal of this event is to provide the community with a free and safe way to dispose of their unneeded personal records," said PCU President Russ Plunkett. "It also helps raise awareness about identity theft and how to prevent it."

Founded in 1926, Postal Credit Union is a full-service financial cooperative offering a complete range of services, including 24/7 loan approval, mortgages, online banking, checking, business services, investment services and more.

PCU serves Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington counties, with office locations in Woodbury, Hugo, North St. Paul and West St. Paul.
