Pakistani policeman is featured speaker
Washington County Community Circles will host Munir Ahmed Shaikh as he presents "Restorative Justice in the Islamic Justice System" on Tuesday April 22, 7 p.m. at Woodbury United Methodist Church, 7465 Steepleview Road.
According to information provided by organizers, Shaikh is senior superintendent of police in Karachi, Pakistan, a Fulbright Scholar and currently an International Fellow at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute, at the University of Minnesota. He has almost 20 years of experience with police work in Pakistan and has worked on high profile investiga tions. He is very interested in restorative justice practices and has applied them in his police work in Pakistan. Shaikh will answer questions from the audience at the conclusion of his presentation.
