New Woodbury Bruegger's Bagels to debut fresh look, launch 'Artist Challenge'
Bruegger’s Bagels will debut a whole new look this month when it throws open the doors at its newest shop in Woodbury.
According to a company news release, the bagel shop, set to open Jan. 22 next to SuperTarget at 437 Commerce Drive, will feature a new open-kitchen design, a brick-wall motif and an updated seating arrangement.
Artwork for the bakery, however, won’t be added until after a special contest is complete. According to the news release, the Bruegger’s Bagels $10,000 Artist Challenge launches Jan. 22 in conjunction with the Commerce Drive grand opening.
Bruegger’s is soliciting amateur and professional artists to submit “an abstract, two-dimensional design” for the wall. The winning entry will become the focal point at the new Woodbury location, the release states.
The winner will take home a $10,000 cash prize.
“We are a neighborhood gathering place, and the new prototype is designed to accentuate our bagel tradition while also celebrating new ideas and the creative spark,” said Bruegger’s Bagels Director of Marketing Judy Kadylak. “The $10,000 Artist Challenge is a nod to all of our guests who create the warm, inviting atmosphere in our bakeries.”
