New Life Academy couldn't solve Heritage Christian Academy Saturday in the Section 4A South boys basketball third-round match-up.

Heritage Christian dispatched New Life 57-51 after building a 27-23 halftime lead.

Heritage Christian's Nick Parkhurst led all scorers with 22 points.

New Life's Alex Heiser scored 15 on the night to lead the Eagles. Teammate Cody Linton chipped in nine points on the night.

The loss puts an end to New Life's 9-15 season.

Heiser led the Eagles in points per game at 13.7. Linton recorded 10.5 points per game and was second on the team in rebounds (4.9) - a category dominated by Sam Berg, who hauled down more than eight boards per game.

New Life's Dan Otto led the team in blocked shots, with 52. Teammate James Houseworth led in steals, with 40.
