New I-94 ramp nears completion, turn lanes to close
The new entrance ramp to eastbound I-94 from Radio Drive in Woodbury may open for traffic as early as Tuesday, Sept. 23, conditions permitting. Construction work on the interstate access is nearing completion.
Radio Drive's northbound left-turn lane to the eastbound I-94 loop is slated to be permanently closed on Sept. 23. Likewise, the southbound right-turn lane to the eastbound I-94 loop is expected to be temporarily closed at that time.
Plans call for northbound Radio Drive motorists to use the new right turn lane and new ramp to eastbound I-94. Southbound traffic will use the new left turn lanes and new ramp to I-94.
The southbound temporary closure of the right turn lane is required for median work.
A lane closure on northbound Radio Drive across the I-94 bridge for seven days is also tentatively planned, possibly starting on Thursday, Sept. 25.
