New choir conductor at Woodbury/Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church
Woodbury/Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church welcomed Bryce Hayes as conductor of the adult and children's choirs at the Woodbury campus, 7465 Steepleview Road.
Hayes earned his bachelor of music (music education) from the Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J. and completed his master's degree (with honors) in choral conducting at Temple University. He has served as music director for two large congregations and served as assistant director to choirs of children and youth at the Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, conducted the concert choir of the Trenton children's chorus and was director of choral music for the Princeton Day School for five years. In addition to his musical skills in many forms of choral and instrumental music, the church is excited about his history of collaboration with other musicians and his ability to provide spiritual as well as musical leadership to the choirs.
Woodbury/Peaceful Grove UMC has opportunities for people to share musical gifts on both its Woodbury and Cottage Grove campuses.
The choirs of the church's Woodbury and Cottage Grove campuses welcome singers throughout the year and have special opportunities for those who can only make a shorter commitment. Children's choirs will be starting soon.
For more information contact Hayes at the church, (651) 738-0305.
