'National Night Out' is Aug. 5
Whether it's a barbecue, ice cream social, or children's parade, Woodbury residents are encouraged to hold a block party in conjunction with National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
Persons may request to have a police officer, firefighter or emergency medical personnel visit their party by completing the "Public Education/Block Party Request" form found on the city's online Citizen Service Request System.
Go to the Woodbury website at www.ci.woodbury.mn.us. Select "online services" in the navigation bar; then click on the "request service" link.
Due to the increase in requests for police/fire/EMS visits at this time of year, requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the party. Persons without Internet access can call the Woodbury Public Safety Department at (651) 714-3600.
Visits from public safety personnel will occur on National Night Out between 6 and 8:30 p.m. as time allows.
Questions regarding National Night Out or block parties in general can be directed to the Woodbury Public Safety Department at (651) 714-3600.
