Next Level Combat in Woodbury is expanding to offer martial arts enthusiasts even more opportunities to stay fit.

The business, located at 1890 Wooddale Drive, opened about a year ago to teach various martial arts classes.

But starting in September, Next Level Fitness will open next door to the existing Next Level Combat, owner Nate Kleinfeld said.

Programs that are already offered include Muay Thai kickboxing, wrestling, youth boxing, Brazilian jiu jitsu and self defense.

Instructors will add daily classes to existing members' routines with kettlebells, cardio kickboxing and fitness boot camps.

The idea behind expanding was for the members to "come to one place where they can do everything instead of having memberships at other places," Kleinfeld said. Next Level Combat is a month-to-month club with about 100 members every month.

Instructors at Next Level Fitness will also be adding personal training and a new street self-defense class for men and women. Fitness classes will start Sept. 12.

Kleinfeld owns Next Level Combat with his father, Bob.
